13 Months

You're a teenager! Not really. At least not for a long, long time.

Here's what you've been up to:

• You weigh about 24 pounds and are 32 inches tall
• You wear size 3 shoe and diaper
• You have 7 teeth now. An upper canine just appeared a couple days ago
• You have your very own language that only you understand but we love to hear you talk nonetheless. Dada and Mama are said loud and clear and just the other day you said "Hi Da" the moment you saw Dad walk in the door. 
• You walk everywhere and you are getting faster by the day
• You love to climb up and down stairs which scares me to death. You show no fear..which scares me more.
• You love animals and will stop whatever you're doing to go and lay on Dakota to hug and kiss her. This kind of affection doesn't end with just our dog..this happens whenever there is any dog or cat around.You are determined to kiss them real good before releasing. 
• You love the Christmas trees and like to redecorate the house with the ornaments that were once hanging on them
• You love to use a fork or spoon all by yourself. 
• You hate to get your diaper changed and fight us pretty much every time. We sing and talk to your animals on the wall to distract you.
• Your favorite songs are Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, Itsy Bitsy Spider (you do the finger hand motions which is the cutest thing I've ever seen) and Eenie Meanie and A Minie Moe
• You love your blanket and don't leave a room without it. It's getting worse everyday too I have to say. You threw a fit the other morning because you thought blanket needed to eat breakfast with you. I explained to you that blanket wasn't hungry and needed to go take a bath instead. 
• You love blocks and stack anything you can get your hands on. Your record is 6 blocks high. You are so smart and determined. 
• You love animated books. You will only sit and listen if you can lift a flap, touch or play a sound. 
• You love Baby Einstein dvds and they have become a life saver lately. They provide me at least an hour a day that you're awake to work. 
• You love your daddy and run to the garage door the second you hear it opening
• Getting you to eat much is still a struggle except when it comes to dog food. I swear, I find you rummaging through Dakota's bowl at least 5 times a day. I normally hear it and catch you before you eat anything but there are times when you scarf a couple pieces before I can get to you.
• When you're not eating dog food, you love all fruit and most veggies but you really don't care for meat. You love bread and cheese, pickles, cherry tomatoes, cheddar puffs, pancakes and bananas. 
• You still take your bottle with whole milk before naps and bedtime. 
• You still love to be rocked to sleep and have your hair played with.
• You love your mommy and give me kisses pretty much whenever I ask for them. You sometimes give me kisses without being asked to and those are the best ones.

Trying to escape

This past month has been really incredible. It seems like you morphed into a big boy overnight. Everyday you do something new and exciting. You love your blanket, your family and your puppy. Happy 13 months Jonah Patrick. We love you!
