Journey the Gymnast

Journey Kay started gymnastics at Aspire. She's in the Wee Tots class, same class Jonie started out in. He was a little older than her though. We waited as long as we could before enrolling her because this was kinda of Jonah's thing and he loved the alone time with Mema and Papa.
But all JK talked about was gymnastics and she would swing on bars and bounce off things then do a somersault and say "GYMNASTICS!" She loves being flipped around and rolls all over the place. She has no fear. She is perfect for this sport. Small, strong and fearless.

JK watches Jonah during his class which is right before hers. We take her upstairs where there is a little slide and place to play while he's in class.

Mema filled out all the paperwork and got our sweet girl registered for her first class.

She did so good! Miss Valerie was just amazed by her strength and willingness to do and try everything that was asked of her. She has been to two classes and has already surpassed all the other little tots in her class. She speeds through the obstacles, ready to tackle something else but has to wait her turn because it's taking the other ones more time to get thru it. This is big for Journey and one of the best skills she is learning so far. She is learning to be patient, listen to instruction and wait her turn.

I snagged some awesome little leotards from the Fall Rhea Lana sale! I got her 4 leotards for under $20! They are regularly $20-$30 a piece so we got a great deal and some of them had already been altered to fit a teeny frame. Score!!

This girl loves to swing on monkey bars. She requires very little help and swings from one to the other. She is so strong and it always scares me the way her little shoulder blades stick out! Looks like its about to pop out of socket!

Getting her stamps after class from her sweet teacher :)

After class mom and dad take them to Mc D's to eat and play. They just love Thursdays with their grandparents and look forward to it all week. Such a special time and Jonah has accepted JK into the group with open arms. He's very proud of her and loves to watch and cheer her on while she's in her class.
So proud of these kids and so blessed to have such loving parents who adore them as much as I do.

We've got two gymnasts in the house now..

I wonder if they have a Wee Pups class for Miss D..

Thursdays are definitely the best day of the week for me...spending time with our grand children and watching them grow and learn and jump and swing and tumble, there is no better way to spend our day...we are the luckiest mema and papa ever! Thank you God for all your many Blessings...
