9 Months!

You have officially been out in this world longer than you were in my belly. This past 9 months has definitely gone by a lot faster than the first 9 months did. :) Here's what you're up to these days..

• You weigh almost 20 pounds now. You have a check up in a few weeks. 
• You wear 12 and 18 month clothes and can wear a size 3 shoe. 
• You CRAWL! All over the place..everywhere. You're getting fast too. It's the cutest thing ever watching you go. 
• You pull yourself up on anything you can reach. You really like to stand and bang your hands on whatever you're holding on to. 
• You love your toy blood pressure taker. It was in your doctors kit and it hasn't left your side in 2 days. You just put it in your mouth and take off. That's where you carry your toys when you're on the move..in your mouth. :)
• You love to ride on your dad's shoulders! 
• You give High Fives!!
• You give kisses and love to cuddle. You are still my koala bear who is happiest in the arms of someone you love
• You play fetch with yourself! You have this little yellow ball that rattles and you throw it in the kitchen and then go get it..you repeat this several times. This is a great game to keep you busy while I am cooking. 
• You are sleeping better..we still haven't mastered this one yet. You go to bed around 8:30 after your bath and bedtime bottle which is almost 7 oz. You do normally wake around midnight and dad goes in and picks you up and holds you for a few minutes and then you usually go back to sleep on your own and sleep until 3-4am. At this time, I go in and change your diaper and nurse you back to sleep. You sleep until 6-7am. 
• You are eating more solids but this is still hit and miss. You've tried spaghetti, grilled cheese, pickles (love), toast with jelly, tuna sandwich, french fries..pretty much anything that we've eaten that is soft. You love to eat at the table with us. I try to have dinner ready when you eat so we can dine together as a family. It's one of my favorite times of the day.
• You love to help me cook in the kitchen. I give you a wooden spoon and some tupperware and you wave that spoon around like a wand. 
• Yesterday (7/26/11) you started saying "ba ba ba ba" We love hearing you talk and make new sounds! You do a lot of "ooohhhs" and pucker your lips like a fish :) 
• You love going for walks and swinging in the park. I have a feeling someone will have their very own swing by next summer!

Yes, we still put you in night gowns. They make changing your diaper much easier and c'mon..you're adorable in them.

You are a very busy man Jonah and sometimes can't even be bothered to give your ole mother a kiss. You love to play and explore everything that you've been looking at for months. You are doing so good with listening. You know that you're not supposed to play with Dakota's food bowls but you just love dipping your fingers in the cool water. You always look at me first and I say "no no" and you almost always turn and crawl away..almost always. :) You are a sensitive little man and this makes me happy because all we have to do is not smile at you (because that's pretty much the only expression you've known from your parents) and you realize that we mean business. 

You have helped us remember how much fun it is to play with blocks and build towers. We build them high and you knock them down and laugh about how hilarious it was. Sometimes we only get 2 blocks stacked before you come at it ready to smash it to smitherines. We're having a lot of fun and we love watching you grow. Happy 9 months baby boy!
