The decorations turned out better than I imagined
The goody table. Presents and party favor bags for the kiddos..
Birthday boy chair
There were animals everywhere! Monkeys hanging from chandeliers..
Even Marty the Moose got in on the action
Doobie the deer came over too. He didn't want to miss the party
A closeup of the goody table, along with Jonah's fall picture.
The food table, without the food.
Mr. Birthday himself. You can tell he LOVED his birthday hat..
The cake was amazing! I was so pleased with how it turned out.
Jonah and his cousins Eve, Aspen and Kylie
He had the best time playing under the table..
Then it was cake time..almost
Birthday hat on, now we're ready to go
Justin, teaching Jonah how to eat icing
He wasn't quite sure what to do with his hands
So we showed him
by pushing his hands into it
He really preferred to just push it around on the tray
After cake, we did presents. I thought after all that sugar he would be totally into opening his gifts..but he wasn't. He was very tired and spent the next 15 minutes resting on my shoulder while I opened all his presents.
He did look at some of them..he liked his bath toys!
He was so sleepy.
He passed out right after presents
Once he woke, we gave him his first taste of chocolate
He loved it! He ate all of it and then spent the next half hour squealing and climbing on everything. Total sugar high
We tried the birthday hat again but he said he wanted more chocolate instead
He had a great birthday! All of our family was there to celebrate which was the best part.
Jonah sends his love and thanks to everyone who made his birthday so special. We love you!
