23 Months

Dear Jonah,

This is the last post I will write about you being a 1 year old! Queue the tears...

• You weigh about 29-30 pounds 
• You wear size 4 diapers. I refuse to move you up to 5. I am determined to have you potty trained before you need to go up a size.
• You wear size 2T clothes almost exclusively now. I really need to go through your closet. I looked the other day and you were wearing a size 6-9 mo shirt. And it fit!
• You have 16 teeth. I counted...took forever and you tried to bite me!
• You have loooooong blonde hair (this might be changing soon!)
• You wear size 8 shoe
• You are right handed
• You love pizza! Finally, another meal we can add to the rotation. 
• You also love lemonade and m&ms
• You are really into building tall lego towers on your dump truck. You also love to knock them down and watch the legos go everywhere. It's a wonderfully loud game.
• You think it's hilarious when Journey toots and always point to her when she does, which is often. Sometimes you try to work one up yourself and laugh and laugh about.
• You love to sit on the potty with your clothes on but will never sit on it if you're not wearing a diaper. 
• You love to dump every single toy bin out in the playroom. We can barely get through the door back here sometimes.
• You do help clean up though which is nice. You are a very good helper, when you want to be
• You still love to swiffer and go grab it the moment you see me or your dad sweeping.
• You're still not talking much. You have your own language though and are very vocal. I know it will come when you're ready.
• You love to go get the mail with Dad after work and run up and down the sidewalk. You run all the way to the end where there is a pipe sticking out of the ground, lean down touch it, then run back to the house.You sometimes take a break in between to roll around in the grass.
• We've been going on a lot of walks lately and you love it. We let you out of the stroller to run and go explore into the woods. We have a spot we always go to.
• You are still an animal fanatic. You're borderline obsessed. We take you to the dollar store and they have all these animal figurines. You pick out a couple every time we go.The window sill where we line them up will have to be sanded and repainted when we move because of all the battles that have taken place there. Elephant vs Lion, Giraffe vs Pig, Gazelle vs Leopard...I think the Lion wins most of the time. He's your favorite.
• Another favorite "toy" is the Ipad. It used to be my toy but I think it has a new owner now. You are so good with it. You love the memory game and can do up to 12 without losing interest (that's 6 matches!) You also love the mix and match animal game and Curious George at the zoo. 
• Your new favorite show is Jack's Big Music Show and you love to do the wiggle dance.

 You got Mema a lion birthday card and spent a lot of the night putting
your animals inside of it

 you love to stack your animals on top of each other. You get so proud when you get them to stay.

You are such good big brother and have really started taking the role seriously. You like to help me change Journey's diaper and have even covered her with your beloved blue blanket. I sometimes have you and sis on the floor in front of me getting diaper changes and it amazes me how big you are compared to her and how you once were that little too. Please try to slow down every once in awhile and give your mama a kiss. I love you my baby boy. Happy 23 months!
