Summer Days

Bike ride to McDonalds with my JK

These two have the sweetest relationship. She adores him and he is in awe of her. My blonde babies.

Her eyes! Perfection.

Sure wish JK had more personality...

Fresh basil from our green house makes for some fine basil infused vodka

Shopping with Jojo and her baby is my favorite

Summer days..slippin away but oh the summer nights :)
Once the kids are a bit older we can introduce them to all the great movies I grew up on.
Until then we still have our fun.

Our summer days have been filled with barefoot running in the grass, feeling sandbox sand between our toes, watering our garden and picking fresh produce when it is ripe and a lot of times when it's not. We stay up late and watch movies with popcorn and a treat. We go on walks after dinner and rotate which riding toys we take nightly. The kids play all day with friends and chase the ice cream truck down every time they hear it. The know they have to come in when the sun goes down which can be 9pm on some nights and our JK will use every minute of sunlight it has to offer.
We grill out multiple times a week and are never prepared when the propane tank runs out. Thankfully, we live 3 minutes from a Wal-Mart so we can usually work it out.
You can be sure there are swim suits hanging from lounge chairs outside on the regular and towels in the dryer fluffing, getting ready for another day.
Sunscreen bottles are easy to find and popsicles are a daily necessity.

I sometimes feel like I live in the '50s where things were easy, care-free.
The world is definitely far from that but I can't help but love this easy life here in our little bubble.
