The Ladies Du was Saturday morning at 7am and these sweet babies were there to see me finish. After the race we went home to pack for our ROAD TRIP to Kansas City, MO. A very special place to us and so fun to be making memories with our littles there.
You can barely see Jojo's face but she insisted on holding her. This is around 12:30pm and we were taking off! 3.5 hour car ride later landed us at the Embassy Suites hotel. It had the coolest elevator and goes up to 12 floors. It's see through all the way up and had the kids mesmerized. Justin and I stayed at the exact hotel when I was pregnant with JJ almost 3 years ago. I cannot believe our baby is going to be 3 on her next birthday. It's hard to wrap my head around but hey at least we stopped nursing! But she still asks for it from time to time and its but over three months.
JP sat in the way back and managed snacks and the occasional Louie attack. JK had her blanket and pillow and spent most of the trip with her headphones on watching shows under her shield.
Justin and I got to sit up front and laugh and chat about anything and everything. It's my most favorite part of road tripping.
We ended our night and trip with the Cheesecake Factory!! The kids had never been before and we enticed them with the chocolate lava cake for dessert. They actually did very well at the restaurants this time around. We love eating out and do so rarely but when we do we like to go to nice places and it makes it hard when your children won't eat anything. They're getting better and I am so proud of them for getting out of their comfort zones.
We walked out of the restaurant to beautiful weather and a street saxophone player who let us choose his playlist. He played Baby Shark for usfirst and then we needed to test his talent and requested a The Weekend song per Journey Kay. He did not disappoint and our baby just needed to dance. Enjoy!!
