We got our pictures taken on Sunday at JCP. We got a couple decent ones before the kids turned into little monsters. They cooperated very little and the photographer suggested some extremely corny poses so I had to redirect her - hopefully not too firmly but she had obviously done one too many Brady Bunch-esqe family portraits. This is why I think we will try something different next time. Something more original and personal. It's hard not to get a cute one of the kids though even when they're not smiling.
Here are some shots I "borrowed" from their online album.
You will see the kids moods..the last is funny.
Had to give the kids candy canes just to keep them in one spot. It was obviously not a very good plan. It caused sis to never move her hand from her mouth - holding tight to the small piece of candy she was savoring and when Jonah wasn't slobbering all over his piece he was yelling about build a bear and when we would be done.
Looks like he's getting ready to eat her! He was going in for a kiss though :)
After the dreaded pictures we walked over to Build-a-Bear. I have been wanting to take the kids here for so long. It was a blast. Journey immediately picked a puppy and Jonah took his time deciding. He finally chose a koala bear.
We filled them with stuffing and gave them each a heart.
Then we gave them baths and brushed out their fur.
Sis chose everything her puppy is wearing. Out of all the choices she picked a pink polk-a-dot dress and pink high heeled shoes. We got her a leash too. JK dragged her all over the store showing her off to everybody there. She named her Happy.
Jonah picked out his koalas bears clothes and shoes too. He also got him a hat because he didn't want him to be cold. He named him Bobby and they are now best friends. This morning I woke up and to my left was Jonah and to his left was Bobby and to Bobbys left was Justin. Bobby and Justin were sharing a pillow. This is how we roll now.
