Our Summer Lemonade Stand

Freshly squeezed lemonade tastes best of hot summer days. Some kids down the block had a stand setup and it was pretty sweet. The kids were so excited about it and went into their rooms to plan their own stand. They wanted to sell cookies, lemonade and brownies so it was a Saturday and we had nothing better to do (ya right!) so we all worked together to make this cute little stand happen. 

It was 90+ degrees and Jonah put on his T-Rex costume to advertise and bring in customers. It worked too! He brought in several and walked around the block. He was soaking with sweat when he got home so he couldn't do it for long. 

Our little helper brought out shoes for people to try on and sat in her green froggy chair regulating how much lemonade was being poured into each cup and wanting more of it in her sippy. 

All in all it was a success! The kids made like $8 a piece and more than that we got to spend the day outside together laughing and making our neighbors happy. We have decided to do one more epic stand before summer ends. More brownies next time (they went fast) and will definitely setup our box fan to keep everyone cool. The kids worked so hard squeezing those lemons and it was definitely worth it. There is really nothing better or more refreshing than a cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade on a beautiful summer day.
