Circus

The Carson and Barnes Circus came to town and only about 10 minutes from our house so we had to go. Jonah woke Sunday morning excited and ready to hit it. He only had to wait another 6 hours before we left.

Our nice camera ran out of juice about 10 minutes into the trip. Classic. We got about 2 pictures of the acts under the tent before it gave out so most were taken with Justin's phone and they just didn't come out very good. The highlights were Jonah riding the train ALL BY HIMSELF (he felt so big), the guy on the tight rope who swung so high doing things I told Jonah never to do and feeding the very hungry goats. Sis got a kick out of them and would laugh whenever they got close to her. We bolted after intermission. Journey passed out about 5 minutes into the acts so I got to snuggle a sleeping baby while Justin wrestled Jonah in a firm choke hold that kept him still just long enough to make it through an hour of jugglers, dogs jumping through hoops, Indian girls on trapezes and clowns beating each other up. I am still kinda bummed we didn't fork over the $20 they wanted to ride an elephant but it just seemed like way too much money for the short 3 minute ride. That and it really sickens me to see animals in acts like this so I try not to entertain it much. We really did have a great time and Jonah is still talking about it. We'll definitely hit it up again the next time they're in town...with a fully charged camera and empty sim card.
