| The morning of her birthday. She was REALLY excited. |
My silly, wild girl turns two today. She told me today "I busy right now" after I told her it was nap time. She's been saying that a lot lately especially when asked to do something she doesn't want to do. She's always sooo busy. She plays all day. She sits and opens book after book "reading" them to herself. She says words and phrases that she remembers from them then says "the end" when shes done. She plays in the shower with baby dolls and animals telling them where to sit. She's definitely the boss when it comes to her toys. She'll hug them but she's also quick to put them in time out if they've been bad.

She says things like "you go hide mommy" and she counts to 10. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10" She always skips 7 and 8. She's big on taking turns. When she thinks Jonah's had enough fun with something she yells "my turn" and then screams until someone resolves the issue. She's a big screamer. And whiner. We've definitely hit the terrible twos. She threw the biggest fit after leaving a restaurant the other day because she didn't get to play 2 games. She only got to play 1 game. Boohoo Journey, get over it! I want to say that but I don't. We try to reason with her and talk in a sweet, non threatening tone but we all know reasoning with a toddler has never worked in the history of motherhood. She gets to the point of no return and all there is left to do is ignore it and get through it. It will end eventually. The screaming and crying will stop and she'll realize that she can get on with her day knowing that she got to play only one game, not two.
She's not always a complete psycho. She can be so sweet and snugly. Especially after nap time. Girl loves
long, 3 hours naps and waking up to chocolate milk and a banana. I wrap a blanket around her and pull her from her crib and hold her in my arms like a baby. She loves this. Then we go to the kitchen for the snack I have waiting for her. We snuggle into bed or the chair and watch her favorite show while snacking. She is always super soft and kissable and one of the rare moments she lets me hold her close and rub my cheek against hers.
She is about 25 pounds and very tall. Maybe 32-33 inches now. She's wearing size 7-8 shoes and mostly 24 month and 2T clothes. She's really tiny but tall. We think she will be a basketball or volleyball player. Or a factory worker.
The contents of her purse...keys, 3 phones, a baby bottle, bracelet and then notice the last item below...:) haha
She is going pee in the potty daily but doesn't tell us when she has to go so we ask her a lot. She wears pull ups during the day mostly and diapers during nap and bed time. She can hoist herself up on that big potty just like a big girl. She never even used the training potty like Jonah did. We just skipped over that and she has always preferred the big one. She loves to wipe and flush the toilet and always tells her pee pee bye as it goes down.
She started school and loves it. She never even cried, just walked in like a boss and started playing. I would've bet someone money she would've cried her first day and I would've lost. She goes on Fridays only and that is enough for now.
She talks non stop and is almost always talking about Jonah. He is the center of her universe and she adores him. She does whatever he is doing and says what he says. She also prefers to wear his clothes. She will go into his room and pull out every pair of shorts and pants she can and get dressed. She can completely dress herself. She puts on a shirt, shorts, socks and shoes usually on the wrong feet but she loves dressing up and making messes.
The past couple months Journey has colored in red gel crayon all over the upstairs carpet, colored on the white door, poured an entire bottle of chocolate syrup out on her carpeted bedroom floor and scribbled on the hard wood in the living room. I don't know what to do with her. These things are happening when I'm in the same room! The red crayon incident happens just a couple feet from me and we're still trying to get the stain up. She is going to be the end of me I just know it.
She is very smart and talks so much for her age. We have full on conversations with her already. She back talks, she sasses and she kisses and tells me she loves me. She loves to sing and dance and do gymnastics. She loves hanging from bars. She can already do somersaults and run like the wind. We're looking into getting her into a gym class like Jonah.

| They are loving some sidewalk chalk right now. After work we'll go out front where it's shaded and color and ride bikes and play until dinner time. |
She calls herself a boy sometimes. A "good boy". She hears me say this to Jonah a lot and she wants to do and be everything he is so I have to explain to her that she is a girl and I call her good girl. She says "no, I a good boy!" So yeah...lots of fun around here!

Oh Journey Kay. She is a mess but just about the cutest and sweetest mess there is which is why it's so hard to discipline her but we're trying to be better about that. She is so funny and has the silliest personality. We call her our silly heart because truly she is just a precious, silly little girl. She's beautiful and she brightens our days.
My prayer for her on this day and all days
She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future
